A Little About Wooing Tree

Central Otago where Wooing Tree is situated, is New Zealand’s coolest wine region and with its location – almost at the bottom of South Island – it is the world’s most southerly wine region. This climate is perfect for the best quality of Pinot Noir.

Wooing Tree’s winemakers are all committed to producing top quality grapes and wine and are a truly family owned and run business.

Wooing Tree’s wine has a most honorable reputation as a winner in various world wine competitions. Especially its Pinot Noir wines those are made by NZ No.1 Pinot Noir maker Carol Bunn, are well known for superior quality all around the world and add continuously golden medals at world wine competitions every year.

The Wooing Tree is a local landmark that sits prominently in the middle of its vineyard. The winery name came from the tree. It has long been a place for locals to woo their lovers. Up to this day there are still plenty of visitors proposing marriage and even getting married under the beautiful iconic tree, amidst the vines.
